Bio - Rick Richardson
Hailing originally from Indianapolis, IN, Rick Richardson has been a noted local guitarist and bassist for more than 15 years. He is a singer/songwriter with a style very much his own. Combining some funk with rock while remaining very melodic and deeply spiritual has become his trademark sound. Pulling inspiration from decades of classic, folk, prog and Americana musical styles, well-chosen cover songs blend seamlessly with Rick's original music. Rick also enjoys creating lush and vibrant instrumental musical pieces that have captivated and entranced audiences for 20 years. Rick gives guitar, cello, and bass guitar lessons in his spare time in the Marshall and Battle Creek areas and takes great pleasure in teaching and encouraging others. Rick has been an accompanying guitarist and bassist to several local greats including; James Armstrong, Tracy Katz, and Kait Simon, Marc Imboden. Tracy Katz writes: Rick is an inspiration for me.
